360 degree cameras allow unique angles

aThe 360 degree camera allowed photographers to take panorama images without the photographer having to move the camera.

The 360 degree camera was a device which rotated 360 degrees horizontally or vertically. According to microsites.lomography.com, the first “panoramic” camera was invented in 1787 by English painter Robert Barker.

Later cameras did not have a viewfinder. Instead, the image or video could be viewed through a mobile application, online, or through a virtual reality headset. The viewer simply placed their mobile device in the headset and looked around as though looking at the real thing, not the image. The image could be shared through the app or through social media websites.

There were many models of the 360 degree camera, ranging in quality and price. Prices differ from around $100 to $500. The cameras also had different types of lenses. For example, the Ricoh Theta S had two lenses, which takes pictures differently than a one lens camera.

All the 360 degree cameras had different capacities for taking videos. According to www.jbhifi.com, the 360fly, another model of the 360 degree camera, could take up to two hours of video. Most cameras had internal storage systems and could add memory or SD cards. However, action cameras that were waterproof, dust-proof, and shock-proof may have had seals, making extra storage not an option.

360 degree cameras had rechargeable batteries. The battery life of each camera depended on the model of camera. Some cameras, like the Samsung Gear 360, had smaller cameras with lower battery life.

The 360 degree camera was an innovation to previous cameras, allowing anybody to capture panoramic images.
