The highly-anticipated season two of “Stranger Things” was released Oct. 27, 2017. The Netflix original was written by Matt and Ross Duffer. It has gained recognition since season one’s release in July 2016.

The first season focused on the disappearance of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) into the Upside Down, an alternate dimension connected to the human world. It followed the journey of his friends, family, and a strange girl named Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Season two showed what happened after Will had been found and what lied ahead.

Picked up a year later in 1984 in Hawkins, Indiana, Will was back home with his friends Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin). It seemed everything was back to normal until Will had frightening episodes where he was in the Upside Down, similar to the ones he experienced in Chapter Eight of season one.

An exceptional part of the show was Will’s episodes. They were very believable and had great detail that made for engaging scenes, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats.

Lucas and Dustin were also involved in the second season more than in the first. This helped the audience get to know more about them through their actions and what they said.

“Stranger Things 2” was intense, reaching beyond the anticipation of viewers. Luckily, the Duffer brothers are already making plans for season three of this exciting thriller. This fascinating show got four out of five stars for great scenery and suspense.
