solved the ongoing problem of scalding coffee. The mug could perfect the temperature of a hot beverage, making it the desired temperature.

The Ember Mug was available at Starbucks and online at The mug cost $79.95 and it was launched on Nov. 9, 2017.

The Ember Mug allowed the owner to adjust the temperature from an application that could be accessed on any smart device. According to, the mug would be paired to the phone through Bluetooth. The mug could be heated from 120 degrees Fahrenheit to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the average serving temperature for coffee is 160 degrees Fahrenheit, which was 25 degrees more than the preferred temperature. According to, the app has presets that controls the temperature. For example, it could be set to modes like hot chocolate, tea, and coffee.

According to, the mug could last for two hours without charging and could last all day if it stayed on the charging coaster. The mug would be completely charged up in two hours.

The Ember Mug was a new update to the conventional coffee mug. Hot beverages could be the right temperature with this new product.
