The holiday spirit has arisen and with that comes yummy foods. Peppermint flavored foods are staple holiday treats. I tried Kirkland Peppermint Bark, Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps White Chocolate & Peppermint, Oreo Limited Edition Peppermint Bark cookies, Publix Premium Peppermint Stick Limited Edition Ice Cream, and Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino.

The first holiday treat that I tried was Kirkland Peppermint Bark. It cost $19.95. It had a great chocolatey flavor but was lacking regarding peppermint. The peppermint chunks were not too big. However, the edges were a bit too sharp. Overall, I’d rate Kirkland Peppermint Bark 3 out of 5 stars.

Then, I tried Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps White Chocolate & Peppermint, which cost $3.20. With a strong peppermint flavor and small chunks that were not too sharp, they were delicious.  There was a great salty aftertaste. However, I feel that if those two flavors were merged together, the overall outcome would be better. Therefore, I would rate Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps White Chocolate & Peppermint 4 out of 5 stars.

Next, I tried Oreo Limited Edition Peppermint Bark cookies for $5.30. These classic cookies had a nice chocolate flavor. In addition, the filling had a strong peppermint taste that was comparable to Girl Scout Thin Mints. Overall, I rate Oreo Limited Edition Peppermint Bark cookies a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

After that, I tried Publix Premium Peppermint Stick Limited Edition Ice Cream, which cost $5.00. This ice cream was very creamy and had a strong peppermint taste. However, it had peppermint crystals in it that I found unpleasant to crunch on in the middle of a creamy bite.   I would rate the ice cream 3 out of 5 stars.

Finally, the last thing I tried was Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino. This frappuccino was topped with whipped cream and peppermint crumbs. It had a great, strong mocha flavor. However, although the peppermint gave a cooling flavor, it was not strong enough to be called a peppermint mocha drink. I would rate Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino a 3 out of 5 stars.

Overall, the best peppermint flavored food that I tried was the Oreo Limited Edition Peppermint Bark cookies. These sweet treats prove to be a perfect holiday snack.
