After the first game of the boys soccer season, they dominated against the Conservatory School, with a 3-1 victory. Coaches and players were anticipating the 2021 season.
“I’m very excited about this upcoming season, and have good feelings about it,” Sinedine Sundstrom, seventh grade left attacker said.
All 20 players on the soccer team were new to the aspect of middle school sports, and this year was considered a rebuilding season.
“This will be a tough year because there have been no middle school sports held at Bak since 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions and precautions,” Coach William Pinto said.
For some, the players were not satisfied with their performance, and looked for improvements. While still winning the first game, the athletes pointed out their mistakes, and planned for their next game.
Captain Keegan Reade, seventh grade midfielder said, “We might lose a few games, but we will learn from them. We just need to work on our passing and more practice.”
