Spring Food Review

As the winter holiday season ended, the sprout of spring festivities began, bringing delicious treats along with it. We decided to try foods that fit the theme, while also being flavorful at the same time.

The first delicacy we tasted was the Bundtini Carrot Cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. In terms of presentation, it was very neat, and the frosting was swirled graciously on top. When bitten into, there was a nice balance between the cream cheese frosting and the subtle chunks of carrot. Overall, we give this cake a four and a half out of five stars due to the intense cinnamon taste.

The next treat we had were the Peeps flavored marshmallows from Publix. These sweets were in the shape of a bunny and had a nice sugar granular coating all around. The marshmallow and sugar combined melted in our mouths and the sweet taste coated our tongue. The Peeps were soft, simple, and squishy. Overall we give these three out of five stars.

The last food we tried were fruit tarts from Publix. These had a collection of blueberries and strawberries on the top while encompassing a crunchy, but also soggy pillow of pastry underneath. We were then met by a cream-filled middle that had a slight glacé to it. The flavor was unrecognizable but still complimented the fruits well. Overall, we gave the fruit tarts 4 out of 5 stars.

The three foods we had most definitely prepared us for the spring season, and we enjoyed each of them and recommended them to try.
