From cucumbers to red potatoes, gleaning is a service program where volunteers collect fruits and vegetables for the needy of South Florida. According to crosministries.org, the Department of Children and Families estimated that 54 million pounds of produce went to waste every year. Through gleaning, volunteers helped reduce that number and gave back to the community.

The floating lands of Pandora are a popular part of Animal Kingdom’s new “Pandora World.” Though visitors cannot climb the lands, and there is no ride attached to it, it was still a major photo-op at the park. “It was a really high energy environment,” Shannon Owens said, “so it was nice to have people who are such big fans.”

Part of the clinic’s new look is white painted doors, stick on letters, and a new blue paint color called heaven on earth. The painting and décor was part of the process for Tommy McCabe’s Eagle Scout project. Katherine McCabe said, “The best part of the makeover was when people came by while we were painting.”
