We just practice a lot to make sure that everyone knows what they’re doing.”

“The Dawes Rolls,” also known as the "Final Rolls,” are the lists of individuals who were accepted as eligible for tribal membership in the "Five Civilized Tribes: Cherokees, Creeks, Choctaws, Chickasaws and Seminoles,” said Michelle DeSilva, sixth grade history teacher. “My ancestors are the Byrd Family which you can see on my family's roster.”

In her math class, Violet Nixon prepares for the statewide testing. “I’ve been preparing for the math FSA this whole week. I have been taking little assessments on each benchmark that we’ve done,” Nixon said.

Posters promoting “My Words, Your Feelings” line the hallways to help students recognize the campaign’s importance. “I do believe as we continue to promote it, we will continue to see advancement. We must continue to work,” Pamela Jackson, school counselor said.
