Fans thought Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour would continue internationally, but she surprised them by performing in the states. She continues her tour in the states, the performances continue in Florida on October 9th, 11th, and 12th, it’s held in the Kaseya Center in Miami. However, on the 14th, she moved to Orlando, where she performed at the Kia Center.
“[Favorite Billie Eilish song] It’s probably Happier Than Ever and My Future. A lot of her songs have very good backstories, but that’s one that really stuck with me.” said Mia King, an eighth-grade Visual major.
My Future is her favorite song, because it portrays the image of growing up, and how she didn’t want to mess her future up over someone she likes, especially if she knows that it won’t last. However, Happier than Ever is about her experience going through a breakup, and how she was the glue to the relationship. Students who have gotten to experience one of her concerts, mainly talk about the showcase of emotion she sings on stage.
“At the start it was kind of like nice, calm music, and then it eventually got a little crazy. Like, it can definitely change very fast.” said Scarlett Piloto, a sixth-grade Communications major.
Numerous students will be attending, including King, who has previously attended a concert and will be attending the one later this year. Billie Eilish finds ways to make her concerts special by interacting with her audience.
“She likes to interact with her fans a lot where she’d do a barricade run and stuff. I think it’ll definitely be different because of this leg of the tour she likes to add on different songs to the set list.” said King.
Billie Eilish is bringing her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour to Florida this October where she performs in both Miami and Orlando. Students described her past concerts as unpredictable, shifting from calm moments, to exciting parts. They expect this concert to be structured the same way. Many talked about how Eilish’s interaction with fans makes each show feel personal and exciting. Her extended tour draws anticipation from her fans.
